170 Filipinos in scam hubs awaiting repatriation

Some 170 distressed Filipinos are still awaiting repatriation from scam hubs in Southeast Asia, the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) said on Wednesday, Nov. 12.
DFA spokesperson Angelica Escalona said these Filipinos in scam hub areas have "active requests for assistance" but have yet to be acted upon. "This figure remains subject to change as verification efforts are ongoing," she said.
