VIDEO footage showing a driver hitting speeds of more than 120mph while weaving in and out of traffic is forming part of a police investigation into a fatal head-on crash in Bolton in the early hours of Sunday.

The clip appears to show a car travelling at high-speed down a busy street, with the driver overtaking other cars and veering onto the wrong side of the road.

At one point in the clip, the car appears to reach a speed of 122mph.

The M.E.N understands that the video is believed to have been filmed by an occupant of the Seat Leon involved in the fatal crash on Wigan Road.

A timestamp on the clip, which has been shared extensively on social media, states that it was filmed at 3am, which is understood to be Saturday morning - just shy of 24 hours before the fatal crash at 12.50am on Sunday.
