On the right road to getting filthy signs cleaned up

FILTHY road signs on main roads are to be cleaned after complaints they are 'in such poor state that they are barely legible'.

Several signs obscured by thick grime, including one with electrical connections exposed, were reported to Bury council by Radcliffe First councillor Carol Birchmore in July.

Now the council has pledged to clean up the signs on Pilkington Way and New Road in Radcliffe.
