A MAN whose flat window was peppered with bullets during a shooting in Salford says he has been left 'shaken up!

- By CHRIS SLATER

A gunman opened fire on the property, which is said to contain two flats, on Lissadell Street in Salford on Monday night.

Police said they were alerted to the incident around 9:25am yesterday morning.

A cordon was put in place, with a row of properties near the junction with Broughton Road taped off.

There appeared to be seven bullet holes in the upstairs window, the downstairs window and the front door of a property.

What appeared to be bullet casings could be seen on the ground, with forensics officers placing seven yellow evidence markers in the front garden.

No one is reported to have been injured.

The shooting is believed to have occurred between 8:45 and 9pm on Monday, Greater Manchester Police (GMP) said.

Locals have told the Manchester Evening News they heard a number of 'loud bangs' around that time, which most assumed were fireworks.

The resident of one of the flats inside the building that was hit has now spoken of his shock.
