City's busiest road set for four weeks of disruptive works

MANCUNIAN Way is to be closed in the evening and overnight for FOUR WEEKS starting in a month, the council has announced.

The A57(M) is the city's busiest road and needs resurfacing, Manchester City Council says. It will start roadworks on Monday, March 3. Those overnight closures will be in place for four weeks, town hall bosses added.

"One of the big issues that people have raised with us is that many of our key roads are no longer at the standard they, or we, expect," said Tracey Rawlins, executive councillor for transport.
