Royal honour for head of Ukrainian support service

WORK to support Ukrainian people driven from their homeland has seen a Macclesfield man named in the King's Birthday Honours.
Paul Nixon, 63, from Marton, was awarded a Medal of the Order of the British Empire (BEM).
The dad-of-three is founder of Congleton Area Ukrainian Support Network (CAUSN), which operates throughout Cheshire and surrounding counties.
His nomination was made by his two daughters and, after it was successful, Paul says it is not just for him but for the many people involved in the efforts to help those displaced by Russia's invasion.
He said: "I was told on my birthday that my daughters had conspired to do this.
