No leaving it to chance for Barnes

It was a strange week for Macclesfield Boys Boxing Club with four matches scheduled on a show due to take place in Salford - by the Friday we had lost them all and were clutching at straws trying to get a replacement.

We approached so many clubs only to be told boxers were not available, not in the gym, already matched.

So with nothing happening on the Salford show we agreed to take a bout in Preston as our boxer, Liam Barnes, had trained so hard and was ready to go.
