Bollington into top half with fine win
Macclesfield Express
|April 23, 2025
THE Easter break saw a limited number of league games played but several of them were important in their respective divisions.
-
The top game in the Premier division saw second placed Bedians take on one of their top rivals Hazel Grove.
It was a game with plenty of quality from both teams and well refereed by Rory McAllister and played on a magnificent grass surface.
Grove bagged two early goals and although both sides created plenty of chances Grove added three more with Bedians getting their reward with two good finishes.
Bedians stay in second place behind champions Salford Victoria and games in hand over their main rivals for second spot.
Bollington United kept up their good run of form to move into the top half of the table with a 6-2 win over Pro United and midweek action had Trafford United moving out of the bottom two with a 3-1 win at AFC Monton.
Just one game in division one and it was between the top two teams Chadderton Cott and Rushford Park.
An efficient 3-0 win by Cott sealed the title for them from Rushford and Trafford reserves.
