Club chairman was heart and soul of community'
A GREATER Manchester football club has announced the shock death of its 'beloved' chairman, calling him a 'driving force' as tributes flood in.
Radcliffe FC's National League North game at home against Buxton was called off yesterday as a mark of respect after the passing of Paul Hilton.
The club said Mr Hilton was 'the very heart and soul of our community' and praised his 'tireless' work they said had propelled Radcliffe to 'the highest level in our history.
In a statement on social media, the club said: "It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Chairman, Paul Hilton.
"Paul was not just the driving force behind Radcliffe Football Club; he was the very heart and soul of our community.
