MANCHESTER is home to a variety of abandoned buildings and locations that have sadly been left empty and decaying for years.

Over the last few months, the MEN has taken a look inside various abandoned buildings and locations thanks to urban explorers who have shared their eerie photos with us.

They include Manchester buildings like the abandoned Stretford Memorial Hospital and Hulme Hippodrome.

Other places include the derelict St Joseph's Roman Catholic Church in Wigan and the Wheatsheaf Shopping Centre in Rochdale. Some locations are further afield, such as the abandoned Park Ha Hotel in nire and a Coffin Maker's House in Cheshire.

The photos show what's left of the once iconic places, from decaying architecture and furniture to abandoned belongings.
