Ex-wife of dad killed by neighbour tells of horror at his death

THE ex-wife of a dad bludgeoned to death by his next-door neighbour told of her devastation following his brutal killing.

Esmaeil Tofigh was killed by Tarik Hussein, who repeatedly hit him over the head with a hammer in Longsight.

Hussein was suffering from undiagnosed schizophrenia at the time and harboured delusional beliefs about his 56-year-old neighbour. He was convinced that Mr Tofigh, a dad-of-two, was spying on him and harming his family, Manchester Crown Court heard.
