Safety fears shut down county wedding venue 'for at least 10 weeks'

A popular wedding venue has been forced to close for at least a couple of months after being deemed structurally unsafe.
Assessments by structural engineers have revealed that the 175-year-old chimneys at Beaumanor Hall, in Woodhouse, have "deteriorated", owner Leicestershire County Council said.
The condition of the chimneys is a “potentially serious safety concern” for staff and visitors, a spokesperson for the venue said.
The closure will allow further investigations and work to be carried out to try make the building safe.
Events, including weddings, which were due to take place within the building will now no longer be hosted there.
