Former Echo journalist set for publication of new book
Loughborough Echo
|April 23, 2025
AN author from East Leake is about to release a new book called Dandelion Yellow.
-
Yvonne Radley also used to work at the Loughborough Echo as a journalist.
In the book, Yvonne explores the complex relationship between life-long friends, based in part on relationships the author has had her entire life. Thirty years ago, Sarah hid a secret from Hannah, altering both their lives. Can their friendship survive the darkest betrayal, or will this be the end of their lifelong bond?
A particularly interesting theme includes the working class heroine - especially over 50 - as Yvonne couldn't find a lot of stories with characters that reflected women like her and her friends, especially as she rose in her career as a journalist (she talks a little more on this below).
