Rough ride as drivers' nemesis resurfaces
Llanelli Star
|July 16, 2025
I ONCE asked a friend of mine, council worker Phil Rhodes, what it was like working for the council.
He replied it was swings and roundabouts really and sometimes the odd pothole.
He was in fact quite keen on potholes, having been a member of the Pothole Appreciation Society, which met at the bottom of a different street every week.
He had tripped over some really interesting potholes but the highlight was a visit to Pothole Land in a small village in North Wales. The experience boasted two kilometres of award-winning potholes "with very little actual road to spoil your fun".
