Parade and ceremonies in town in memory of the fallen

Remembrance Sunday saw a parade and wreaths laid by town and community leaders in Llanelli, while there was a further ceremony in the town centre on Armistice Day, Tuesday, November 11.

A parade proceeded to the town's cenotaph, which included the laying of a wreath on the Royal Welch War Memorial and then on the cenotaph, where more wreaths were laid by dignitaries, politicians and ex-service personnel. A two-minute silence was then observed at 11am.

Poppy tributes and wreaths were also laid at the war memorial in the grounds of the church and members of the town's Royal British Legion branch were present.

Meanwhile, families can pay tribute to fallen loved ones at the first Llanelli Festival of Remembrance concert later this month.
