EVERTON are trying to bring in Bayern Munich left-back Adam Aznou.

Blues aiming to sign Aznou

Speaking to Men in Blazers’ host Roger Bennett at an event called A Night Live on Stage with David Moyes and Everton Football Club at the West 16th Street venue Racket NYC on Friday night, the Blues boss said to a packed audience that ‘nine or 10’ new signings were required this summer.

As reported by The Athletic on Saturday, Everton have made progress over a deal for Aznou with a fee in the region of €9million (approximately £7.87m).

However, despite claims elsewhere that a deal has been agreed, with a green light for a medical, the ECHO understands that at this stage, the process is not as advanced as that, but it is currently moving in that direction.

The Blues have already missed out on another fullback target this summer, Kenny Tete, who primarily operates on the opposite flank, after the Dutch international performed a U-turn and decided to sign a new contract with Fulham rather than come to Hill Dickinson Stadium.
