TASKFORCE TO TACKLE HOMELESSNESS

NEARLY 6,000 people need help as homelessness keeps going up in one part of Merseyside.

A new taskforce will soon be set up across the Liverpool City Region after the UK Government announced £3.5bn across England to tackle the issue.
Councillors in Wirral will review a new strategy to tackle homelessness in the borough at an economy, regeneration, and housing committee today. The new policy, if approved, would be in place for five years and comes off the back of a review which found nearly 5,900 asked Wirral Council for homelessness help.
