'So proud to be one of Britain's cosiest pubs!'

A LIVERPOOL pub has been named one of the UK's "cosiest pubs at Christmas".

The Black Bull, on Gateacre Brow, was third on the list and the only Merseyside pub to feature in the top 10.

Shift supervisor Sue Bowcock told the ECHO she only found out about their achievement after a customer informed them of the news.

She said: "I said, 'no, it can't be. How many Black Bulls are there in the UK?"

The Black Bull was recommended as a perfect winter venue for festive celebrations and gatherings.

The pub is also dog-friendly.
