MORE INJURY MISERY FOR SAINTS BOSS AHEAD OF BULLS FIGHT

IF ST HELENS’ new boss Paul Rowley wants to be successful this season, he needs to spend a bit less time smashing mirrors and walking under ladders.

That's the best explanation I can come up with after Saints lost yet another top player through injury in the 36-4 win at Catalans Dragons last weekend.

This time, it was England prop forward Alex Walmsley who was the victim of Rowley’s reckless mirror/ladder policy having picked up a foot injury in the warm-up.

Given the damage was already done, Walmsley carried on to play in the game anyway, but could face up to six weeks on the sidelines.

Rowley said: “Alex will be in a boot for a little bit and just have to take our time.
