THOUSANDS celebrated St Patrick's Day in Liverpool yesterday, as crowds gathered in pubs and bars and to watch a parade through the city centre.

Spectators turned the streets into a sea of green, white and gold. This year marked the ninth time Liverpool has hosted the parade, while the team behind the event celebrates ten years at the helm.
