GROWING CONCERNS OVER ANTI-SOCIAL BEHAVIOUR SEE RESIDENTS COME TOGETHER
A GROUP of parents has set out with plans to return Netherton to how it used to be amid a growing concern about crime and anti-social (ASB) behaviour in the area.
Recent weeks and months have seen a number of incidents involving crime and ASB, including two weeks ago, when Merseyside Police made an order under Section 35 of the Anti-social Behaviour, Crime and Policing Act 2014.
The order gave police officers the ability to direct people that they suspected of or were likely to cause crime, nuisance or ASB to members of the public to leave a specific area and not come back for up two days.
Hayley Weston, 32, who has lived in the area her entire life has experienced the area change first-hand. She told the ECHO: "There's been a rise in anti-social behaviour recently and there has been a few negative stories that have been published and concerns from Netherton residents over the kids hanging about and getting up to mischief."
