Minibus driver fails drug test on way to pick up schoolkids

A MINIBUS driver on his way to pick up schoolchildren failed a roadside drugs test after he was pulled over.
Merseyside Police has confirmed a 50-year-old man was arrested after officers saw a minibus "being driven at speed" on Sefton Street in Southport.
The vehicle was stopped at around 2.40pm on Monday, September 8 and the driver was detained. Officers carried out the drugs test, which he failed.
There were no other people on the minibus. However, Merseyside Police's roads policing unit posted on X that the bus was "on route to pick up children from a school in the Southport area".
