'If we forget this result we don't get better'

VIRGIL van Dijk admits there are lessons to be learned from Liverpool's fifth defeat of the Premier League season - but insists nobody will be getting carried away over the gap between the champions and Arsenal.

The Gunners are eight points clear of the Reds, who dropped to eighth after Sunday's 3-0 defeat to Manchester City.

That left them a place below Manchester United on goals scored.

Reds skipper Van Dijk (right) said: “You don't forget about results like this. If you forget about these things then you don't get better. You cannot only think about the good things all the time.
