Hope and Glory as Wirral Metro swimmers shine in Warrington

IT was the short trip to Warrington for many over the weekend with Wirral Metro's Hope Birley-Brown taking the ‘top female swimmer’ award after securing several personal bests and picking up six gold and two silver medals.
Lottie Abbott-Beck was also outstanding, ending the weekend with three golds and five silvers.
Anna Fearon picked up three golds.
William Sowden, Xavier Sowden, Sophie Parry, Annabel Preece and Francesca Rick stood out from a number of other medal winners.
Anthony Wawrzyniak led the Halton team, taking four golds and five silvers, posting many PBs along the way.
Orla Riley finished the weekend with three golds, including a PB in the 50m freestyle.
Tsz Yui Chiu, Bella-Mai Fishwick, Eloise Edwards and Meg MacAllister were among many other successes.
