ARCHBISHOP'S PRAISE FOR LEO XIV
THE Archbishop of Liverpool said it is with a “profound sense of joy” he welcomed Cardinal Robert Prevost as the newly elected Pope last night.
The new Pontiff was confirmed when white smoke was spotted coming from the chimney on the Sistine Chapel.
Thousands of people gathered in St Peter's Square to celebrate as Pope Robert Francis Prevost, 69, emerged onto the balcony of the Sistine Chapel as he was unveiled as the successor to Pope Francis.
