A MAN'S life turned has been turned upside down after he was diagnosed with a rare, aggressive brain tumour.

Alex Warwick, 23, was partway through his medicine course at the University of Liverpool when he suddenly fell ill with the serious condition.

Now, with Alex not responding well to chemotherapy, his family are urgently trying to raise funds for a cutting-edge treatment in Germany. Alex, originally from North London, said he fell in love with the city of Liverpool while he has been living here, and even more so because of the support he has received since he became ill.
