Arrest in garden after man stabbed

MUM AND SON LEFT SHOCKED AS ARMED COPS SWARM HOME

A MUM and son were shocked as armed police swarmed their house in Elmhurst Road, Belle Vale, yesterday morning and arrested a man in their back garden.

Police were called to the scene shortly before 8.45am after a man in his 30s was stabbed in the chest.

The victim was taken to hospital, where his condition is described as serious but stable.

A 39-year-old man, from Halewood, was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder.

Dean told the ECHO how he and his mum were shocked to look outside and spot a man "pacing up and down" their garden.

They immediately alerted the police after "hearing sirens outside" moments before. Dean claims officers ran through their home into the garden and arrested a man.
