Armstrong wants to keep pushing for Preston promotion

Armstrong would be open to spending the rest of the season on loan at Preston North End as rumours continue over a possible Everton recall.The 18-year-old joined Preston on the final day of the summer transfer window and has since forced his way into contention at Deepdale.

At the weekend, he scored his first goal for the club and is currently a regular starter under manager Paul Heckingbottom.

There has been speculation about his immediate future, with Everton short of options in central midfield.

Blues boss David Moyes was recently asked whether Armstrong could be brought back in January, but he declined to give a definitive answer.
