Anfield set for Spanish friendly double-header

LIVERPOOL have confirmed a friendly double-header at Anfield in August as Arne Slot's pre-season preparations continue to take shape.
The Reds will play two games against Spanish side Athletic Bilbao on Monday, August 4, with the matches kicking off at 5pm and 8pm.
Athletic finished fourth in La Liga this season and reached the Europa League semi-finals where they were beaten by eventual runners-up Manchester United.
Liverpool last faced the Spaniards in a friendly in August 2021 in which they played out a 1-1 draw at Anfield with Diogo Jota scoring the Reds’ goal.
