Award staff celebrating their win

The Oak Tree Inn in Balmaha is celebrating another major industry accolade after being crowned Independent Pub/Bar of the Year.

The business, which recently celebrated its 28th birthday, won the prestigious title at the 2025 Scottish Licensed Trade New (SLTN) Awards.

The award was presented at a major ceremony at the Glasgow Hilton, where Scottish actor Alan Cumming handed the trophy to Stuart and Lucy Fraser, accompanied by members of The Oak Tree Inn team.
