Commemorative notice unveiled

A special slice of footballing history will now be permanently marked after a sign unveiling the achievements of a club who took football in Dumbarton to 'world championship' status.
That honour was given to Renton FC back on 19 May 1888 when they - the Scottish Cup champions of the time - took part in the World Championship clash with the English FA Cup winners West Bromwich Albion.
