POPULAR VENUE IN CITY CENTRE TO CLOSE AT THE END OF YEAR
A LEGENDARY Leicester music venue has announced it will be closing for good.
The Shed, which has been at the heart of the city’s music community for more than three decades, revealed the news in a statement yesterday.
The venue, in Yeoman Street in the city centre, has been operating for 31 years.
Bosses at The Shed said the decision had not been made lightly and the team had pursued every possible avenue to secure its future.
Management said that despite sustained efforts both publicly and behind the scenes, they had reached a point where continuing was no longer viable.
