ENGLAND TO FACE SPAIN IN LAST WARM-UP MATCH AT HOME

Tigers will stage World Cup send-off for the Red Roses

LEICESTER Tigers will play host to the Red Roses for the second time this year when they take on Spain in one of their final warm-up matches before the Women's Rugby World Cup.

After the successful Six Nations clash against Scotland last month, which was attended by more than 15,000 fans, the Red Roses will return to Mattioli Woods Welford Road on Saturday, August 2 (3pm).

The match will be the perfect World Cup send-off for supporters ahead of England's bid to become world champions.

Tigers CEO Andrea Pinchen said: “We are very excited about being able to bring another international game to Leicester and have the Red Roses back at the home of Tigers for the second time in 2025.

“The whole rugby community is behind the Red Roses heading into the Women’s Rugby World Cup and, to be able to add this game to our fixtures calendar is great for not only our supporters but the game as a whole.
