Sailing into the sunset raises cash for charity

SUPPORTERS SPEND DAY FROM DAWN ON THE WATER AT PARK

YOUNG sailors, instructors, volunteers and parents sailed from first light to dusk to raise money for their charity.

Clara Byford, 13. who had the idea to run the sponsored sail, was the first on the water at 7.20am, followed shortly by Thomas Dale, 14.

Both members of the Leicestershire youth racing team are trained and managed by the Leicestershire and Rutland Youth Sailing Association (LRYSA), based at Watermead Country Park.
