Amrut, an elevated Indian dining, bar and shisha experience that has captured the heart of Leicester's foodies is celebrating two wonderful milestones.

Amrut is marking its first anniversary on October 19, but the celebrations don’t stop there, as it has also proudly been awarded the Leicestershire Curry Award for Best New Restaurant in Leicester 2025.

The family-run business was founded by three sisters - Shweta Joon, Shivani Joon, and Natascha Joon - who have brought an authentic taste of India to a city that now feels like home.

Speaking about Amrut, the sisters said: “We wanted our guests to feel nostalgia, comfort, and connection with every dish, and we are humbled that, in less than a year, Amrut has become a place where people come not just to dine, but to celebrate life's most cherished moments.
