Drunk woman lashed out at police officers

A “HEAVILY intoxicated” woman spat and kicked at police officers who were trying to search her.

Helena Maughan reportedly had “no intention to assault the officers” who had been dealing with a separate matter at the time.

The 36-year-old had been out drinking in Leicester at about 7.30pm on Tuesday, September 9 when she became “hostile” towards police who were dealing with a different incident.

As officers searched Maughan, she spat at a police officer trying to conduct the search before kicking another officer in the thigh who was trying to put a spit hood over her head.
