A focus on festive films month at city cinema

SEVERAL Christmas movies are to be shown throughout December at a Leicester cinema.

Phoenix Cinema and Art Centre, in Midland Street, will screen various festive films including some classics.

The independent cinema is to offer its annual donation screening today in aid of Alice Hawkins Community Projects.

It’s a Wonderful Life will be shown at 7.45pm, and visitors are required to bring along an item from a shopping list to the box office.

The item can be exchanged for a free ticket, with products such as toiletries, chocolate coins, cereal, biscuits, coffee and more all part of the list. The full list can be viewed on Phoenix Cinema’s website.
