|December 04, 2025
WITH roof works complete and scaffolding removed, the Grade II* listed gothic mansion Pippbrook House is now heading into an exciting new phase as a vibrant hub of cultural and community events.
-
Designed by distinguished architect George Gilbert Scott and built in the 1850s, this historic building, situated close to the Mole Valley District Council (MVDC) offices in central Dorking, boasts an impressive heritage and richly decorated interior.
Over the past 15 months a team of structural engineers, joiners and masons have worked diligently to repair the roof structure and restore the building to a windand watertight condition.
The decayed first floor and ground floor west wing window lintels (damaged by a historic leak) have been successfully replaced, allowing an additional ground floor room to be brought back into use.
