Wyre church forced to close due to shrinking congregation

A country church near Garstang has closed-three years after celebrating its 200th anniversary.

Hollins Lane Methodist chapel in Forton has had a dwindling congregation in recent years, which led to the closure decision.
Its final service was held on Sunday, September 7 and the chapel's small band of worshippers will now attend other Methodist churches in the district.
It is the latest Methodist chapel in the rural area to close over the past three decades or so.
