University: Our new name makes it clear who we are

You might know us as UCLan - and that name is well recognised locally.

But outside of the region, it's not always clear who we are.

The change to the University of Lancashire makes it easier for future students, partners, and communities across the UK and abroad to recognise us.

It helps everyone better understand who we are and what we stand for.

This update reflects our big ambitions as we get ready to celebrate 200 years of making a difference across Lancashire and beyond.

This isn’t just a new name - it's a chance to celebrate who we are and where we come from.
