Two month closure of park entrance for flood gate works

Work on the delayed Broadgate section of the Preston and South Ribble flood defence scheme is to see a busy entrance to a city park closed for two months.
-
The entrance to Miller Park at South Meadow Lane closed yesterday to allow for the work to take place on finishing the entrance.
Due to the disruption a temporary path will be put in place to help keep pedestrians safe running up via West Cliff. Cyclists are asked to dismount along this section.
