Businesses on a Preston street say new parking restrictions are denting their already challenged businesses.

'This new double yellow peril is ruining our shops' business'

Shop owners Dilenar Patel and Sabir Patel with the new double yellow lines on Church Street, Preston, which they say are hitting their businesses

Earlier this year, a set of short-stay parking bays on Church Street, which also doubled as a taxi rank in the evening, were removed and replaced with double yellow-lines.

The stretch of new restrictions, just down from Preston Minster, has meant the newsagents, takeaway and nearby mini mart are struggling with deliveries.
