The Blaydon Race sees Emma put in fine Tyne performance

Wesham Road Runners' Emma Brooks again ran this year's historic Blaydon Race, along to Scotswood Road from the centre of Newcastle.

She finished 2,828th of the 4,490 competitors - and 1,026th woman - in a time of 58:27 for the 5.8-mile course along the Tyne.
The Coniston Lakeland Trails races saw Martin Bates take part in the Coniston Mini Marathon over 10k.
His time of 1:33-57 saw him take 81st place overall, in addition to being the sixth over-60.
