Kaine's had to be patient after big-money switch

Last season's PNE player of the year Kaine Kesler-Hayden was due back at Deepdale last night when leaders Coventry visited for the Championship clash.

After a 2024/25 loan spell with the Lilywhites, the defender completed a reported £3.5m move to the Sky Blues from parent club Aston Villa.
While Kesler-Hayden had made 16 appearances across all competitions for Coventry before last night's game, which was after the Lancashire Post went to press, the fullback had only managed two Championship starts, with a further two coming in the Carabao Cup.
