Informative survey or just another fine dog mess?

It never fails to amaze me what people will survey these days.

- Kate Wobschall

The latest to arrive in our editorial inbox was eye-catchingly titled 'Top of the Plops' and reveals what people supposedly really think about the dog owners in their neighbourhoods.

It's taken from actual research - Dogs Trust's 2025 National Dog Survey, no less, billed as the largest survey of its kind, with more than 340,000 owners taking part.

Don't get me wrong, its heart is in the right place.

The survey is sponsored by People's Postcode Lottery, which has, since 2013, raised more than £26m for the charity to improve the lives of around 100,000 dogs.
