Fulwood close in on top spot after chalking up a big victory

Fulwood Red moved ominously into second place in the Preston and District Snooker League after a 7-0 win at Eccleston.

Tommy Hannon had the break of the week, a 55 in his 75-62 win, son Jonny Hannon had a 41 in his 88-25 win and Steve Whalley a 34 in his 74-58 win. They are four points off the top with a game in hand.
Last year's merit winner Lewis Almond had breaks of 35 and 34 as his 86-7 win helped Elite E to beat hosts Broughton A 5-2.
