J&K BOSE Suspends Affiliation of Four Schools

The Jammu and Kashmir Board of School Education (J&KBOSE) has suspended the affiliation of four private schools after confirming that they had prescribed textbooks not approved by the Board, in violation of its statutory guidelines and the terms of affiliation.

In a statement issued, J&K BOSE said the institutions had displayed “open defiance” of mandatory norms by adopting non-prescribed learning material. Show-cause notices are being served to all four schools, seeking an explanation as to why their affiliation should not be cancelled altogether.
