BIS JKBO Marks Environment Day With UT-Wide Green Drives

The Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS), Jammu & Kashmir Branch Office (JKBO), marked World Environment Day 2025 with a series of impactful green initiatives and awareness activities across the Union Territory, in line with this year's global theme — “Ending Plastic Pollution Globally.”

The celebrations began with a plantation camp at the green belt in front of SIDCO Park, Bari Brahmana in Jammu, a site maintained by BIS JKBO. The event was led by Shri Tilak Raj, Director and Head of BIS JKBO, and served as a symbolic reaffirmation of BIS's continued commitment to promoting sustainability and encouraging public participation in environmental conservation.
