Dreamland festival ends in tragedy as young music fan dies

A YOUNG man has died and at least a dozen teenagers have been treated in hospital as soaring temperatures hit a music festival at Dreamland in Margate.

The Margate Drum and Bass Festival was held last Saturday (June 28), and was due to run until 10.30pm - but organisers asked the crowd to leave five hours early due to concerns over the 28C heat.
Posting on X, formerly known as Twitter, Dreamland said: “It was just too hot today. We had to close early. Get home safely.”
