Dingwall will use different motivation to power Saints after Leinster ‘underdogs’ tag fired them up for Dublin glory

FRASER DINGWALL has told his Northampton side they cannot play the underdog card again in today’s Champions Cup final against Bordeaux-Begles in Cardiff.

Saints used their outsider status to motivate themselves ahead of their stunning 37-34 semi-final win over Leinster in Dublin three weeks ago when they overturned odds of 25-1 to dump the four-time winners out.

The East Midlanders, who last ruled Europe in 2000 when Pat Lam was captain, have won on the road this year against the Bulls then turned over Munster, Castres and Clermont before their win in Ireland.
